What’s Coming Next

In April 2014, an International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) Advisory Group recommended priorities for the IARC Monograph Program for 2015-2019. The group of more than 20 government employees, academics and non-governmental organization representatives recommended that the Agency review the carcinogenic hazard of nearly every occupation, from welding to desk jobs (and job stress itself), and everything from cooked food to steel.

The priorities include substances where “no epidemiological studies of cancer in humans have yet been completed” and others that IARC has previously evaluated.
